WRLC Borrowing Policies
The Washington Research Library Consortium enables CUA
students, staff, and faculty with current library privileges to borrow
items from other libraries in the consortium. The Consortium
Loan Service handles all such
requests, though patrons may also borrow in-person from member
libraries.
Loan Periods
When CUA patrons request items through the Consortium
Loan Service
or in person at a WRLC library, the loan periods generally will follow
these guidelines:
- Four weeks for undergraduate students and staff.
- Six weeks for graduate students.
- Up to four months for faculty, using three fixed due dates
per
year (1/31, 5/31, 9/30).
CUA patrons may check out CUA items for the
following loan periods:
- Four weeks for undergraduate.
- One semester for graduates.
- One year for faculty.

Renewing WRLC Items
In all cases, each item borrowed from a WRLC library may be
renewed twice.
To renew WRLC items in person, visit the Circulation Desk at
any campus library. To renew online, go to your myALADIN
account.

Fines and Fees
WRLC lost book fines and fees are determined by the cost of
replacing and processing lost items. For each lost item,
the following charges will be assessed:
$57 item replacement fee
$30 processing fee
$10 maximum overdue fine
$97 total
Overdue fines for WRLC items are the same as fines for CUA items. See CUA Circulation Loan Periods and
Fine Policies for details.
