Directions to Engineering / Architecture Library

Here are directions to campus via Metro or car. You will probably find the campus map to be useful once you've arrived.

By Metro

Take the red line to the Brookland/CUA stop. Once through the exit turnstiles, turn left and ascend on the escalator or stairs. Once you exit and as you proceed straight ahead, Pangborn Hall will be the first building to your right. The library entrance is 200 Pangborn Hall.

By Car

From the North (I-95S): After passing through Ft McHenry Tunnel (Baltimore), take exit 52- Rte 295S, Baltimore-Washington Parkway. As you approach Washington, take the Washington-New York Ave. exit. From New York Ave., exit onto S.Dakota Ave and drive to the 6th light (about 1.3 miles). Turn left onto Monroe St. and drive to the 9th light (about 1.2 miles). Turn right on 7th St, cross Michigan Ave. at the next light and enter campus through the brown traffic gates. The library will be about 2 blocks to your right, near the intersectionof the main campus road and John McCormack Rd.

From the South (I-95 North): When I-95 intersects the Capital Beltway (Routes 395, 495, 95), get on Route 395. Follow Route 395 until it ends at New York Ave, where you must turn right. After the second light, bear right onto M St. Then, turn left onto North Capitol St. Drive for about 1.4 miles and turn onto Michigan Ave. At the 5th light, turn left into campus through the brown traffic gates. The library will be about 2 blocks to your right, near the intersection of the main campus road and John McCormack Rd.

From the East (Route 50): As you approach Washington, Route 50 becomes New York Ave. On New York Ave., exit on South Dakota Ave. and drive to the 6th light (about 1.3 miles). Turn left onto Monroe St. and drive to the 9th light (about 1.2 miles). Turn right on 7th St., cross Michigan Ave. at the light and turn diagonally left into campus through the brown traffic gates. The library will be about 2 blocks to your right, near the intersection of the main campus road and John McCormack Rd.

From the West (Route 66): Route 66 empties into Constitution Ave. Drive on Constitution Ave. until you pass 2nd St. NE. Then immediately turn left diagonally left onto Louisiana Ave. At the 5th light, turn left onto N. Capitol St. Drive for about 2.1 miles and turn right onto Michigan Ave. At the 5th light, turn left into campus through the brown traffic gates. The library will be about 2 blocks to your right, near the intersection of the main campus road and John McCormack Rd.

From the Northwest (I-70 East): In Frederick, MD take exit 53/Route 270 S to Washington. Exit onto Route 495E (left exit): the Capital Beltway. Take exit 28/New Hampshire Ave., Route 650 S (Takoma Park). Drive 4.5 miles and turn left onto N. Capitol St. Drive about 2 miles and exit N. Capitol St. at the exit immediately following the exit for the National Rehabilitation Hospital, the VA Hospital and the Washington Hospital Center. At the light, turn left onto Michigan Ave. At the 3rd light, turn left into campus through the brown traffic gates. The library will be about 2 blocks to your right, near the intersection of the main campus road and John McCormack Rd.
