Information for FacultyInstruction | Reserves | Books Requests InstructionIf your class is going to use the library, it is a good idea to schedule a course-related instruction session. E/A/M Library staff will teach students how to search for information in the library, using online catalogs and specialized databases, as well as familiarize them with library policies. Workshops for groups and individual training sessions for students and faculty are also available upon request. ReservesTo place materials on reserve in the E/A/M Library, please fill out a Reserve Request Form and hand it in to a staff member in the E/A/M Library. In the E/A/M Library, course reserves are filed among the circulating books in the stacks. Most reserve books circulate for two hours with some flexibility for students who may need them a little longer on a case-by-case basis. Reserve request forms are processed in the order in which they are received. To see what is on reserve for a particular course, visit the library's online catalog at http://catalog.wrlc.org and look for the reserves module. If the library does not own a book you wish to place on reserve, we will make every effort to purchase the book if it is still available. However, the book may not arrive for several weeks. Professors' personal copies may be put on reserve in the library for students to use if the library does not have a copy of the title. Electronic reserves are also available through Blackboard. More information about setting up a Blackboard account for your class may be found here : Instructions for Placing Items on Reserve. Library materials, including Course Reserves, may only be used in compliance with United States copyright law. Please see the CUA Libraries' page of policies and guidelines on copyright for more information about your rights and responsibilities, including Instructions for Placing Items on Reserve. Book requestsThe E/A/M Library depends on faculty book requests to make sure the collection fits the research needs of the Schools it serves. Please send lists of titles to purchase to the E/A/M Library, 200 Pangborn Hall.
