The University of California Berkeley Architecture Slide Library has digitized its slide collection and made it available over the Internet. One can search by period, topic, architect, building or location to see slide images along with the catalogue entry. One can also browse the index of the database.

Great Buildings Online
A database of images and descriptions of hundreds of historical and modern buildings; each building is accessible by either name or architect. This is a free online service providing access to Web resources for education and research. Art and Architecture Thesaurus
An online thesaurus of terms describing art, images, architecture and objects from antiquity to the present. Most architecture indexes use the vocabulary from Art and Architecture Thesaurus; for example, use the thesaurus to find out when you need to use "siding" and when you need to use "cladding" when searching for items.
