Jamie holds a B.A. in Religion / Philosophy from Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS, and an M.A. in Theology (focus Biblical Studies, New Testament) from Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis. In addition to being a Library Assistant in the Nursing / Biology Library, she is also a doctoral candidate in Biblical Studies, focusing in the Old Testament, at the Catholic University of America. Some areas of interest include: Prophetic and Wisdom Writings, Inter-testamental writings, Johannine literature, women and gender roles in antiquity, the legend involving "Pope Joan," Ancient Near Eastern studies and archeology, and ancient epigraphy (especially Semitic languages, Greek, and Latin). When not trapped under a pile of books, at her desk in the Nursing / Biology Library, or playing in the dirt on an archeology dig in Jordan, Jamie can be found providing domestic service to two adorable felines: Harlequin and Melchizedek.
