Gena has a B.A. in English and a B.A. in French from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, a B.A. in Equine Studies and an A.A. in Computer Information Systems from Midway College in Midway, Kentucky, and a M.A. in French from the University of Maryland. Over the years, she has worked as a race horse groom, a computer programmer, a reporter, a copy editor, a translator, and a publicist. She is currently pursuing a M.S.L.S. from the School of Library and Information Science at the Catholic University of America and is an Electronic Services Assistant in the Mullen Library. A few interests are writing, travel, and learning new languages.
