Nirmal graduated in Master of Arts (M.A.) in Education with a specialty in Administration, Curriculum, Foundation, and Policy (ACFP) studies and Bachelor of Arts in Social Science concentrating in Social Work from the Catholic University of America, Washington, DC. He has an advanced B.A. in Social Science from Tejgaon College, Dhaka University, Bangladesh. He is an International Scholar winner named for the Month of April 2008, recognized by the Catholic University of America's Center for Global Education.
