- The purpose of the library system of The Catholic University of America is to support and enrich the instructional, research, and service programs of the University. In recognition of the University's position as a Catholic institution of higher education, the University Libraries also have the responsibility for sharing resources and services with both the Catholic Church and the scholarly community.

- Scholars, researchers and visitors who are unaffiliated with the University must show a current Photo ID and sign in when entering the libraries.

- Researchers with special borrowing privileges must present your Special Borrower Card when borrowing materials. Please refer to the Special Borrowers: Circulation Privilege Statement for details. Other researchers may apply for a Courtesy Borrows Card for a fee. For more information, please contact the Library Administrative Office at (202) 319-5055.

- University policy regarding children in the library.

- Photocopying: Visitors may purchase a copy card from an add-value station on the second floor of Mullen Library or Music Library in Ward Hall. The price for photocopying is 10 cents per page. Please read "How do I buy a copy card?" for more details.
